From Chicago to Detroit, a brief stop at the beach in Indiana. We went to the Indiana Dunes State Park, on the south shores of Lake Michigan. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indiana_Dunes_State_Park
These are sand dunes.
And we made it to Michigan!
And to Benton Harbor, for the House of David Museum. The House of David was a religious organization whose members played baseball and basketball (among many other things) in the early part of the last century. http://www.houseofdavidmuseum.org/
We then went to Kalamazoo and paid a visit to Stephanie's friend Barb who lives on 26 acres with deer, ponds and 2 dogs.
She also grows some insanely large vegetables.
As big as Todd's arm!
The view from our seats at Comerica!
The Tigers hit a home run (and they are happy).
They have a baseball ferris wheel.
And topiaries in the shape of ballplayers.
Here's the Tiger!
We were there!
The whole field.
The Tigers-only carousel.
And a late-inning rally to beat the still-slumping Indians.
Tigers baseball.
Thanks Detroit!
